History of Rofin Baasel UK

Both Rofin Sinar and Baasel Lasertech were founded in 1975 in Germany and they were pioneers of the industrial laser business. The two businesses became one when Rofin bought Baasel in 2000 – creating what is today probably the largest specialist industrial laser company in the world.

Baasel Lasertech (UK) Ltd was founded in 1995 with three staff, and merged with Rofin Sinar’s sales team in 2000. Today we employ 25 staff out of recently renovated offices in the Midlands. Daventry is well placed for our staff to reach all mainland customers and we carry nearly £500,000 of stock so that our 13 service/installation engineers can respond rapidly.

In Ireland we have a service centre in Dublin and a Sales and Service centre in Galway.

In 2007, Rofin-Baasel UK Ltd bought ES Technology Ltd, based near Oxford. ES is a system builder which manufactures special purpose laser systems for laser marking, welding and cutting.
